“The Crown of Thorns” by Antonio d' Enrico (1575-1633) seems remarkable to us because it shows an interiority to Jesus that a lot of early Baroque paintings don’t even try for. In a revelation to Venerable Mary Martha Chambon, Our Lord told her the crown of thorns caused him more pain than all his other wounds. We put that on the back to help your meditation.
